For many Tibetans, freedom is a word locked in the confines of their hearts and minds. This is a story of the agony of exile and the courage and enduring strength of a people striving for freedom.
“An intimate and rare narrative of the fate of one family and the hope that binds all Tibetans”
Tenzin Phuntsok Atisha Dalai Lama's Representative in Australia
Our Tibet is the story of one Tibetan family and, at the same time, all Tibetan families. It is a story of exile and separation from the country and from each other.
This is a story of human cost of the Annexation of Tibet, by China, which started in 1958, and continues today.
“From Australia to Tibet, this is a family’s heart-warming story amidst the cruelty of Beijing’s military occupation. It is also an unmistakable call for the world to wake up and help unshackle the Tibetan people’s extraordinary spirit.”
Bob Brown, Australian Senator
